1853 50C Half Dollar Liberty Seated Arr & Rays PCGS MS65 (CAC) NEAT!

Think hard about when was the last time you saw a PCGS CAC MS 65 offered. You have to go way back to 2014 to find one in auction. The coin we have here is a beautiful original HIGH END GEM. It has an older blue tag insert.

Clean and smooth surfaces are devoid of unsightly scuffs or hits. Only when using a strong glass can you detect a few ultra light frost breaks. A moderate luster beams all over. Both sides are an original soft white with a faint hint of gold. Miss Liberty and the details are pinpoint sharp in strike and have light frost. Interestingly, there is a tiny glob of metal hidden in the shield. It doesn’t affect anything (to us it’s just interesting). The eye appeal here is wonderful!

PCGS 22, NGC 17, CAC 6. There has not been a PCGS CAC piece sold via auction since 2014! That coin brought $21,150.00 10/2024. No question price guides are way behind as none have publicly traded. The Collectors Universe value is only $22,500.00-we paid MORE than that! You can’t beat the fact ONLY 6 have been beaned. In mS66, the last one sold in 2017 for $63,000.00.
