1855-O $5 Gold Liberty No Motto PCGS AU53 (CAC) BLUE HILL COLLECTION

We cannot stress enough how fantastically original this date is. Every day, it’s a lock for AU 53!

Interesting surfaces have just a few tiny, scattered ticks. There is a small, thin cut on the face, but it does NOT stand out. Only with a glass can you see any of this. Interestingly, there is a strong luster that shines everywhere. This is NOT a dirty coin. Both sides have totally original orange/deep gold colors. Miss Liberty, and the details are surprisingly well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 10, NGC 12, CAC 2. CAC has only graded four coins higher. There are no records of any PCGS CAC AU53 ever selling via auction. In 2010, the last AU 55 sold for over $8,000.00! Somehow, there is a Collectors Universe value of $9,000.00 for this coin (which is not new and is probably correct). We can’t emphasize enough how rare this date is in any grade! This coin is an ideal addition to any O Mint collection!
