No question this is a really nice VERY HIGH END coin! This is NOT a Fairmont coin.
To start, the coin is highly lusterous-even though it does have some light original toning. Only when using a strong glass can you see some scattered ticks/tiny cuts. These are typical for the grade. The color is a deeper totally original gold. Miss Liberty and the details are so well struck its hard to see where any wear is. The eye appeal is really nice!
PCGS 9, NGC 24, CAC 5. CAC has only beaned 2 coins higher. There has not been a CAC example sold since 2017. Obviously the price guides are not accurate. There are not many graded higher by PCGS either (8). The rarity of this coin date is undisputed.
