1858 $5 Gold Liberty No Motto PCGS AU55 (CAC) FAIRMONT

What a SUPERB GEM original choice AU coin this is! We refuse to dip a great original piece like this. We rank it pretty much as a 58 but make promises.

Superior surfaces offer the slightest bit of chatter. They appear clean to the naked eye. There is a really good strong luster that beams from all over. Boths ides are a GEM original even gold color. There is a tiny light dusting of original toning-this is coin is NOT dirty looking. There is a small dirt satin dot on the right reverse hidden in United. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and have only light even wear. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 9, NGC 19, CAC 6. CAC has beaned only 4 coins finer. We paid $3,600.00 out of the sale. Collectors Universe is $4,000.00. Teh last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $3,120.00 11/2021. This will be a cool addition to any AU $5 set!
