1859-O 50C Half Dollar Liberty Seated, No Motto PCGS MS66+ (CAC) AMAZING!

$30,000.00

We should be asking a lot more for this incredible coin. May 8, 2008 it brought $66,125.00 (Heritage) as a PCGS MS66 (it was before CAC). It is our belief, the late Gene Gardner probably had to have it and got into a bidding war with some one at the time. The coin definately is VERY HIGH END, but its not a lock to MS67.

Pristine surfaces are an absolute delight to view. We used a strong glass and looked all over the coin. We could not find anything other than a stray thin line or two. The surfaces do have a satiny like texture. A wonderful mix of totally original moderate colors of pale aquamarine/soft green/pale purple dazzles from both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are exceedingly sharp in strike and stand out. The eye appeal is remarkable!

PCGS 7, NGC 3, CAC 5. PCGS has graded only 2 in MS66+. We know for a fact the other MS66+ CAC is in an O Mint Collection. The current Collectors Universe value for this GEM is $30,000.00. There is a NON CAC PCGS MS67 graded. This coin has it all: TRUE QUALITY, TRUE BEAUIFUL EYE APPEAL, AND A WILD PRIOR AUCTION RECORD! We have priced this rarity at a fair fair level. A very neat coin destined for a box of 20 or a SUPERIOR GEM Half Set!
