This is a 10C Pattern struck as a Large Cent. How cool is that? We rank this coin as SUPER HIGH END! In fact we will bluntly state, we see no reason why this coin is not a PR 67 BN (we make no promises).
R-6 13-30 MINTED
Lightly mirrored fields have more of a smooth and satiny texture. We used a strong glass and really looked this coin over several times. We found ZERO problems of any size, any where. The color is a phenomenal mix of original pale brown/blue/tangerine colors. The reverse also has a pale brown/aquamarine tint. here are no spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and every single detail are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is AWESOME!
Think about this: if this was any PR Large Cent in 66+ CAC it would be worth at least $15,000.00. At least! And this has a much lower mintage… What a value here.
PCGS 1, NGC 2, CAC 1. This is the only PR 66+ BN graded. THERE ARE NO COINS GRADED HIGHER BY ANY SERVICE! We could not find any auction records for any PR 66+ selling. The rarity and quality for this coin “that could have been” are undisputed. WE LOVE THIS PIECE!
