1874 $1 Dollar Trade PCGS PR64CAM+ (CAC)

There is very little that separates this coin from a PR65 Cameo designation. Yes, this is an “old friend” we are happy to have back. If you collect Proof Trade Dollars, you’ll know just how tough a date this is to find.

Glorious mirrors blaze with flash. The mirrors are also of great clarity (VERY important). When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass and do have a slight “watery” roll. An outstanding band of totally original pale blue/olive/gold frames the peripheries on both sides. The centers are silvery. This was never a washed out coin. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and have generous frost. The eye appeal is tremendous!

ONLY 700 were minted. PCGS 30, NGC 15, CAC 14. PCGS has graded only 2 coins in PR64+. Disregard the pops., this date and grade never appear. The current Collectors Universe is only $8,000.00. You can’t buy a coin like this for CU today. We’d bet this coin was tried many times for a PR 65 Cameo (NO promises). Remember, this is an 1874-a coin that should not look like an 1879. For an 1874 this coin is AMAZING!
