You just do not think this date is as rare as it is. The mintage is only 5000. This coin is marvelous and is VERY HIGH END!
Not bad for an AU50. There numerous TINY scattered ticks-however there are no big marks that stand out. You do not look at this coin with a strong glass and go eh. There is a generous amount of luster all over. Both sides are a lighter even gold color with faint pinkish highlights by the rims. There is no toning here. All the wear is light and you need to look for it. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 13, NGC 10, CAC 3. CAC has only beaned 2 in 55 and 2 in 58 higher! The other CAC AU50 sold in 2023 for $13,200.00. The current Collectors universe needs to be update as its only $11,000.00. Like the late great Rodney Dangerfield would say: this does not get any respect!
