1878 $5 Gold Liberty With Motto PCGS MS64+ (CAC)

Oh, was PCGS unforgiving on this ULTRA HIGH END beast!

We make no promises, but there is so little if anything that separates this coin from a full GEM 65 designation. Maybe (and its a big maybe) one tiny tick could be the difference? MS65’s do have ticks. Teh surfaces appear super clean and smooth. A strong glowing luster beams from all over. Both sides have a GEM original mix of orange gold/lime (yes lime by the rims), and gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. This is a totally original unmessed with coin. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is heartpounding!

PCGS 11, NGC 13, CAC 6. PCGS has graded 11 pieces in MS64+ (we’d bet this coin has been submitted to PCGS and CAC multiple times). The current printed values are too behind especially for a killer coin like this. We would pay $20,000.00 for the lone PCGS CAC MS65! We assure you, put any MS65 $5 Lib side by side to this coin-you won’t be able to tell the difference!
