Recently, we paid $4,350.00 for a NON + PCGS MS65 CAC 1882 $5! Here we are offering you a + coin that is HIGH END for almost the same price!
Overall, this coin looks very clean and smooth. Only when using a strong glass can you see a few ticks/very light tiny marks. Nothing stands out. A good luster glows from all over. Both sides are a GEM original gold that blends with slightly deeper gold on the peripheries. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck. The eye appeal is sweet!
PCGS 14, NGC 32, CAC 4. PCGS has only graded 3 in MS65+ and 2 higher. CAC only has one higher. There is no auction record for any MS65+ selling. The current Collectors Universe value is $7,500.00. Important to note: this is NOT a Fairmont coin cleaned up (older holder) and it is NOT our MS 65 (we still have it). This is a far tougher date to find then most people realize.
