This coin not only is HIGH END, it is a borderline prooflike! WE ARE MADLY IN LOVE W/THIS SUPERB GEM!
No question the obverse is fully prooflike. The mirrors are easily 4″+. The reflection and clarity of the mirrors are strong. Also, this coin has so few ticks. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors do have a “watery” like roll. The reverse is semi-prooflike. The contrast is intense on the obverse. Both sides are untoned. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frost. Even the frost radiates from the cheek. The eye appeal is totally jaw dropping!
PCGS 95, NGC 206, CAC 64. In 06/2024 a PCGS CAC example that is not where near this coins eye appeal brought $9,000.00. We WHOLESALED a non PL example for $8,350.00 just a week ago. We’d bet this is the only obverse PL in MS68! If not, there won’t be many others out there. In fact, in full Prooflike MS68 , PCGS has graded only a single coin and it is NOT CAC!
