1884-S $20 Gold Liberty Type 3 PCGS MS64+ (CAC) FAIRMONT AN AWESOME GEM!

We LOVE this near full GEM piece! What a great coin with much more to offer than its superior quality!

Remarkable surfaces have just a few very widely scattered TINY ticks that are visible only with a strong glass. There are very faint traces of prooflike mirrors. This coin has a full booming luster. Both sides are GEM original gold color-and unlike most of the Fairmont coins, this coin has no dirty toning. In fact, it has NO spots or discolorations either. Miss Liberty and the details are both exceptionally struck and are delicate frost. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 46, NGC 4, CAC 4. PCGS has graded only 5 coins in MS64+. Typically we are not huge fans of Fairmont coins unless they are either of amazing quality or have something going for them. This coin has both: This is the coin that sold for $38,400.00 08/2022-ouch! Considering the last 84S PCGS MS64+ CAC sold for $22,800.00 on 11/2022 (a weaker sale), We feel strongly this coin offers TREMENDOUS value. It’s also been 2 years and no others have popped up-a very good sign. We can see it rising to $38,000.00 again in the near future. The selling of Fairmont coins like this is now over.
