A very high grade DMPL 1885. The details are razor sharp in strike. The highly frosted and fully defined devices contrast against deep, chrome-like mirrored fields. The mirrors are clear, free of any singularly distracting marks or lines, the frosty cheek is clean and smooth. The eye appeal this GEM is superb.

PCGS 119, NGC 59. Non-CAC DMPLs have been consistent in auction, with several of the most recent examples bringing $2,520 05/2024. This coin sold for $2,530 in the LRCA 04/2018 sale. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $3,600. Only four coins are graded finer. We think you will like the quality.
