1885-CC $1 Dollar Morgan PCGS MS67+ (CAC)

What separates this coin from an MS68? We sure do not know! PCGS simply did not want to designate it as such in our opinion. We make NO promises they ever will upgrade it (we did try 2x).

Remarkable surfaces are virtually perfect. Using a strong glass, we only found two minute lines hidden in the field (and we mean super tiny). The surfaces are also a super sleek. We grade the reverse a full MS68! A strong luster shows off the beautiful and totally original colors on the obverse. Warm shades of blue/violet/pearl green/sold swirl all over. It is VERY rare to find an 1885CC with color like this. We rank the colors a 9+ on our 1-10 color scale (10 is the best). You don’t have to tilt the coin to see the colors either. Keep in mind, 85CC colors are not like what you see on most early S Mints. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck. If you are a perfectionist, her cheek is perfect! The eye appeal of this SUPERB GEM is totally outstanding!

PCGS 138, NGC 160, CAC 45. PCGS has graded 15 in MS67+ (we’d bet this coin is at least 1-2). You can NOT equate this to any price guide. The color and quality and quality combined make it worth far more than the $31,500.00 currently claimed by Collectors Universe. This coin is ex RSD Toned CC Set-so you know the quality and eye appeal are all there (All the sets he does rank #1).
