Only some wispy light lines/ticks and extremely light wear keep this coin from being a full MS.
The lines are light and are scattered. You need a glass to see them and any real wear. A full booming luster is on top of the flashy semi-prooflike mirrors. Both sides are a beautiful deeper ORIGINAL gold color with reddish gold highlights. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have exceptional strikes. The eye appeal is wonderful!
ONLY 1000 pieces were ever minted for circulation. PCGS 51, NGC 46, CAC 9 (we think the real number is 6-8). We consider this date to be the “silent stopper” for the series.
