And now for something completely different. For sure we have not had a earlier MS RD Indian Cent posted in ages. Of course this was worth the wait! The coin is really nice too!
Marks are virtually non existent. We used a strong glass and looked really hard. All we could find was a light frost break/ding well hidden. That is rare for one of these to be so clean. No question this coin is a totally ORIGINAL GEM MS RD. That is amazing, for a 136 year old RED coin. Only one or two microscopic toning dots (and we mean microscopic) can be found. There is a very decent luster too. The Indian and all her details are sharply struck. The eye appeal is super nice!
We would NEVER buy a bad or problem copper coin. In hand, it looks far better than the image!
PCGS 54, NGC 34, CAC 7. The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction brought $3,600.00 05/2024. The current price guides are way off for a PCGS CAC GEM RD coin. We haggled and bought this great coin really right!
