1889-CC $1 Dollar Morgan PCGS MS63 (CAC)

The knowledge that 37 items were coming on the market did not deter us. We looked at those, and for some, all we can say is good luck getting a bean (they were very chewy). Of course, being fresh, the coins were bringing full CAC money.

The coin we have here is truly VERY HIGH END. No question. We LOVE the coin and do rank it a 63.8. PCGS was tough.

There is a trace of semi-proof-like mirrors on the surfaces. All marks are light and do not stand out. The reverse is borderline MS64. No question, this coin is original and has never been messed with. There actually is a slight contrast. The luster is strong. There is some faint gold toning on the reverse. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and do offer strong frost (no imagination needed). The eye appeal is excellent!

PCGS 112, NGC 67, CAC 16. The last CAC example to sell via auction brought $45,600.00 in 2024—and it was a fugly-looking toned NGC piece. We are offering a white PCGS CAC coin here. As proven by the sale of the non-CAC coins, the 89CC market is as strong as ever.
