1890 $20 Gold Liberty Type 3 PCGS MS64+ (CAC)

This coin looks like one from 1904. We rank the coin as SUPER HIGH END+. We’d bet before 3rd party certification this coin was called an MS65 (we make NO promises). This coin has been off the market for many years. The holder has an old light blue insert.

Almost insane surfaces have no hits or marks. There are a few scattered LIGHT frost breaks that you can find only when using a strong glass. The surface texture is thick and satiny. The only real marks are some TINY ticks/cuts on the neck—you need to use a glass to see those too. No question, this coin is 100% ORIGINAL in everything. A surprisingly strong luster beams from all over. There are NO spots, specks, or discolorations. The color is a GEM original, even gold. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are fully struck. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin last appeared on the market in 2010. Obviously none of the price guides are up to date. We have reported what we paid to the price guides. There are ONLY two coins finer, one a spotty and crusty MS65 and the MS65+ that is in the Hansen Collection. This 1890 PCGS MS64+ CAC is the FINEST you can buy! Once it is sold, an MS63 in CAC is the best you will find.
