Never owned an example of this date before. Found a very nice example.
There are a few ticks and giggles, however nothing stands out and really need a strong glass to see them. A light to moderate luster enhances both sides. The color is a GEM original even deeper gold. There are no spots or toning. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 42, NGC 16, CAC 11. CAC has beaned a single MS 64 higher. That is a powerful statement as to how this date comes (not so nice). The last PCGS CAC example to sell via auction was in 04/2024 and that piece brought $7,200.00 (as did one before it). The current Collectors universe value us $7,750.00. A date and grade that seldom appears. A perfect coin for an O Mint collector.
