1901 $20 Gold Liberty Type 3 PCGS MS65 (CAC) OGH
$8,250.00
A SUPERB coin! And its still housed in it’s ORIGINAL green tagged holder coin!
For a big coins, this piece is most impressive. Bag marks are almost non existent. You need a strong glass to find the few tiny, light, and scattered ticks. The surfaces are satiny. A full booming luster beams all over. Both sides are a GEM original orange gold color – this coin is not dipped out. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and are frosty. The eye appeal is fabulous!
PCGS 370, NGC 364, CAC 46. The last PCGS CAC to sell via auction brought $9,300.00 08/2022. A NON CAC piece brought $9,000.00 11/2023. The price guides have not caught up. CAC has beaned only one coin higher. 1901 is not nearly as common as a 1904 (PCGS pops in MS65: 01 PCGS 193, 04 6,263)!
