We debated cracking this coin out. Its got the potential (NO promises) by why lose one of the oldest holders? Of course this coin is VERY HIGH END!
Deep mirrors punch through moderate to strong toning. You do not even have to twirl this coin to see the “watery” like roll of the mirrors. Using a strong glass we found no imperfections. The toning consist of a rich totally original mix of navy/royal blue/deep champagne.. There are some untoned areas. This is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details are needle sharp in strike. The eye appeal is nice!
Only 727 were minted. PCGS 57, NGC 53, CAC 6. We were stunned to see only 6 are beaned. The current Collectors Universe is $1,750.00. We bought this outstanding GEM really right. This is one of the best deals considering it in a second generation NGC old fatty holder!
