Define an original GEM VERY HIGH-END coin: $20 1906-D PCGS MS64+ CAC. This coin could not be any more original and closer to MS65! WOW! There is no question in our minds that since this coin left the bank 117 years ago, it was beyond carefully saved.
Outstanding surfaces have just a few very trivial ticks and giggles. Nothing is big or stands out. All over the rest of the coin, the surfaces. The luster is strong and has a thick satiny texture. Both sides are a GEM original gold color highlighted by thicker gold on the peripheries. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are lightly frosted and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!
PCGS 236, NGC 129, CAC 41. PCGS has graded 58 in MS64+. The last PCGS CAC example to sell in auction brought $14,400.00 05/2022. Note: an MS65 would cost you at least $25,000.00 if you could even find one! This coin has tremendous looks!
