1909-D $5 Gold Indian Head PCGS MS65 (CAC)

Drop the stigma here. This coin is above and beyond exceptional for the date. It is the very real deal for an MS65+. Even though this date is heavily available in the lower grades, once you hit MS65, it is impossible to find nice in full GEM-regardless of what the pops say.  You can say PCGS and NGC are grading more, while CAC is NOT approving them. PCGS and CAC showed this HIGH END GEM no mercy!

The surfaces are super clean and are satiny smooth. Even using a strong glass you will be ever so impressed. A strong luster brings out the beautiful and totally original gold color. There are NO spots or stains. This coin has NO dirt or fugly toning like so many do. The Indian is lightly frosty and has a crisp sharp strike. The eye appeal is great and will make your eye balls roll!

PCGS 160, NGC 103, CAC 17. In 05/2023 a NON CAC PCGS MS65 brought $18,000.00. We had to go back to 2013 to find the last auction of a PCGS CAC 09D in MS65. If a PCGS CAC MS66 were to exist, it would easily run $35-$40,000.00 with heavy demand today. We cannot stress enough how tough CAC is on gold like this. Think about it, they have only beaned 6.4% of all 09D ‘s graded MS 65 between PCGS and NGC. Ouch! The date simply does not come nice in GEM!
