Love this boldly mirrored full GEM. We rank it VERY HIGH END! Housed in an older blue tag holder. A duplicate coin from the Collection of a lifetime.
Strong mirrors have a lot of flash. Using a strong glass, the mirrors are clean over all but you can find a tiny line or two. When you twirl the coin, the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. Totally original colors of light champagne/blue/green swirl more around the rims. There is strong contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are thickly frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is nice!
Only 543 were minted. PCGS 31, NGC 30, CAC 10. The last example to sell via auction brought $2,280.00 06/2020-no wonder these coins seem so cheap. The current Collectors universe value is $2,500.00. Again, we think for a nice flashy proof 65 that is too cheap!
