A totally original and above average coin. We rank this piece as HIGH END!
Using a strong glass, you will find some tiny and scattered ticks. There is nothing that stands out. No question there is an original “skin” on the coin. It has has light “dirty” toning. The dreaded right reverse field isn’t too badly hacked up. All of the details are well struck. The eye appeal is very pleasing!
PCGS 115, NGC 64, CAC 29. The last one to sell via auction brought $12,000.00 in 08/2024-before gold skyrocketed. As we keep saying, the price guides are no where near caught up on a coin like this. Don’t think we are asking a lot as we are working close!
