This is not a typical “dirty” piece. This coin is more than worthy of the full + designation.
Overall, the surfaces are very clean and smooth. Only with a strong glass can you see a tiny tick or two on the reverse. A strong luster does beam from all over. Both sides are an original even deeper gold color with faint orange gold highlights. There are no spots or discolorations. Every detail is sharply struck and does have light frost. The eye appeal is excellent!
PCGS 825, NGC 385, CAC 89. PCGS has graded 91 in MS64+. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell via auction brought $5,400.00 12/2023. The current Collectors Universe value is $5,500.00. A PCGS CAC MS65 would easily cost you $15,000.00+ (if you could even find one). This is a really great coin. Do not be fooled by the pops, we could not find any listed for sale. And be glad this is not being sold at auction!
