Just a few teenie ticks from being a full MS65. No question this coin ranks as HIGH END!
Overall, the coin is clean to the naked eye. You need a glass to find the tick or two. A surprisingly strong luster show off the frosty and ORIGINAL even gold colored surfaces. There are NO spots or stains although the reverse has some light toning. ALL of the details are frosty and have sharp strikes. The eye appeal is great!
PCGS 889, NGC 1058, CAC 173 (CAC has stickered only 5 higher). PCGS has graded 120 in MS64+. The last PCGS/CAC piece to sell in major public auction brought $5,160.00.00 03/2025. Hard to believe, we do not see any MS 64+ listed on Collectors Corner for sale. Keep in mind a PCGS/CAC MS65 today would cost at least $40,000.00 if you could find one of the 5 beaned. We think this piece represents strong value!
