1914-D $2.50 Gold Indian PCGS MS65 (CAC)

$43,500.00

This is a terrific example of a very under rated date and grade. Everything about this piece is GEM. We fully rank this coin VERY HIGH END!

Outstanding surfaces are a joy to behold. They look clean to the naked eye. Only when using a strong glass can you find a microscopic tick or frost break on the obverse and a very tiny cut hidden on the reverse. There are NO serious problems here. The luster is clearly above average and the mild glow can be seen from feet away. Both sides are a phenomenal original pale orange/deep yellow gold color mix. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is fantastic!

PCGS 59, NGC 56, CAC 5. PCGS has graded two coins MS65+ and that is it. In 01/2024 a PCGS NO CAC brought $31,200.00. And in 12/21 a PCGS CAC piece brought $38,400.00. Some how the current Collectors Universe value is $42,500.00. The fact there are only 5 CAC pieces and the fact this coin actually has good eye appeal add to the premium vs non CAC. If you are building a GEM set, this coin is an absolute “no brainer” to include!
