1916 1C Small Cent Lincoln, Matte PCGS PR67RB (CAC)

We are madly in LOVE with this SUPERB GEM. Two years ago we owned a really SUPER HIGH END coin and did not think another could come close. This one most certainly does!

In our opinion, this coin was never handled and sat totally undisturbed since it left the Mint.

This coin has some of the most FLAWLESS surfaces we have ever seen. We used a strong glass and looked over and over and found not even a microscopic tick. The matte texture is fantastic. There is a strong glowing luster. Both sides have totally original colors of faded Mint red/pale gold/light olive (the colors are NOT dull or drab). We call it 50% Mint red (the pic makes it look more RD). There are zero spots or discolorations. Lincoln and every detail is needle sharp in strike. The rims are as thick as you will ever see. The eye appeal is awesome!

PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 2. There is only a 67+ graded higher. The last one we owned sold for $24,675..00 07/2022 vis auction. The current Collectors Universe value is $27,500.00. We caught a real break on what we paid for this coin. No question 1916 SUPERB GEM Matte Proofs are rare. If your building a GEM RB Matte set, this is a “must own”, it has all the bells and whistles! Plus, we look forward to owning this coin down the road.
