1C -$1 1867 PR SET PCGS PR64-PR67 ALL CAC

$137,500.00

Legend Numismatics is proud to present a set that simply should not exist. Every coin was handpicked direct from the Mint. These coins stayed in the same family until 2001. At that time Legend purchased the set and placed it with a long time customer. Only now, 153 years later are these coins coming to the open market for the first time.

This set not only is the epitome of fresh, its also of amazing quality!

1C  PCGS PR65 RD CAC.  Strong mirrors reveal no flaws. A light layer of toning is visible (the coin clearly is GEM RD). There actually is light contrast. Miss Liberty and the details are sharply struck and have strong frost. The eye appeal is stunning!

PCGS 10, NGC 11, CAC 2. The other PCGS CAC piece last sold for $8,000.00 in 2015.

2C PCGS PR66RB CAC. Deep, clear, and clean  mirrors beam boldly from all over. Just a slight trace of toning keeps this coin from being a GEM RED.

PCGS 17, NGC 24, CAC 11. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $1,800.00 01/2020.

3CS  PCGS PR67+ CAMEO CAC. WOW! Deep mirrors are immaculate and offer booming flash. The obverse is evenly blanketed by the same navy/blue colors the other coins in the set have. Every detail is needle sharp in strike and is thickly frosted. The eye appeal is incredible!

ONLY 625 were minted. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 8. PCGS has graded only 2 coins PR67+ Cameo w/none finer. The current Collectors Universe value is $25,000.00.

3CN PCGS PR66 CAMEO CAC. This coin is a headlight that borders on DCameo status. Save for one dot of Mint grease on the reverse, this coin has claims to a higher grade (NO promises). The contrast and eye appeal are jaw dropping!

PCGS 37, NGC 53, CAC 24. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $1,800.00 01/2020. This is NOT our typical PR 3CN!

5C NO RAYS PCGS PR64 CAMEO CAC. VERY HIGH END! Just a few light lines on the reverse keep this as a PR64 Cameo. The mirrors are deep and clean. The contrast is clearly visible. Strong eye appeal.

PCGS 19, NGC 13, CAC 6.The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought only $780.00 01/2020. These are waaaaay too cheap today!

H.10 1867 PCGS PR66 CAC. No question this coin sat undisturbed for its 153 year existence. The coin is close to cameo. Just a few light lines can be seen. Of course there is totally original toning spread all over.

PCGS 21, NGC 30, CAC 13. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $1,380.00 06/2018. Not a date and grade that pops up in any frequency.

10C PCGS PR67 CAMEO CAC. If this coin was not in a set, it is the type that would shatter auction records!  Remarkable mirrors are deep, clean, and are crystal clear. The obverse has a crescent of blue toning while the reverse is even covered by a deep lavender/blue/pale gold color. The contrast is almost 3-D as the eye appeal is jaw dropping!

PCGS 2, NGC, 0, CAC 2. The other coins sold for $14,400.00 01/2020. This piece has it all!

25C PCGS PR67 CAC. Another near miss cameo. The quality is SUPER HIGH END. Deep, clear, and clean mirrors are spread all over. The obverse has a stunning circle of blue/violet colors while the reverse is a deep lavender/navy color (same as the other coins). We can look at this coin all day!

PCGS 2, NGC 6, CAC 1. Obviously this coin has never been sold via auction. We know all the published pries for this coin are wrong. If this coin were to appear in auction, we could easily see a record price being set.

50C PCGS PR67 CAMEO CAC. There is incredible then there is this beast of a coin! Deep mirrors are clean and are crystal clear. When you twirl the coin the mirrors look like a freshly made sheet of glass. A circular ring of royal blue/violet/tangerine frames both sides. Miss Liberty and the details boldly stand out with thick white frost. Yet another jaw dropping coin!

PCGS 2, NGC 2, CAC 1. This piece may very well be the FINEST graded. A PCGS NO CAC Piece sold for $18,800.00 in 2016. We can NOT stress enough the incredible rarity of this date and grade.

$1 PCGS PR67 CAMEO CAC. What a killer piece to end the set with. EVERYTHING about this coin is SUPER HIGH END and INCREDIBLE!

Strong mirrors beam boldly from all over. The mirrors have excellent clarity and cleanliness. You can se where several coins laid on top of this for many years as the original toning developed. The toning is of the same deep lavender/navy /blue as the other pieces. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and have thick frosting. This is a jaw dropping coin!

PCGS 1, NGC 5, CAC 3 (might be resubs). Obviously this coin has never been to auction. The last NGC piece to sell in auction (NO CAC) was way back in 2007. If removed from the set we could see this coin selling for over $60,000.00+ easily!

No question this is a once-in-a-lifetime offering.
