Problem free surfaces are smooth and are fairly clean. Only with a strong glass can you see an old tick or two. There are some die clashing marks (Mint made) on the reverse. There is little to no pitting. We do think this piece was lightly oiled at one time (the copper equivalent of dipping). There is a good luster/gloss from all over. Both sides are a deeper brown color with a few light blushes of navy. There are NO spots. Miss Liberty and the details re well struck and do standout. The eye appeal is fine!
PCGS 13, NGc 0. The last one of these to sell in auction brought $21,150.00 02/2017. Do NOT be fooled by the pops, this is a very difficult date and grade to find!
