Item# 54304

This is a lovely borderline MS65 RB.

Excellent surfaces are a joy to behold. They have no marks. Even when using a strong glass you will still be impressed. There is a neat die crack from 3:00 through the date. A surprising luster does beam from all over. This piece is a no question original red brown with lots of GEM faded Mint red color. There are no real spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck. This is not a date that come s struck or looking like a monster coin. The eye appeal is great!

PCGS 4, NGC 0, CAC 4 (we think this piece has been sent in more then once to both PCGS and CAC ). PCGS has graded only 2 in MS64+RB and 3 coins finer (one now in this collection). NO MS64+ has ever been sold via auction. We can not stress enough the extreme rarity of this date and grade. Opportunity knocks loud here on this amazing 194 year old near miss GEM!

We believe (not fully confirmed) this coin is the ex Cardinal piece that brought $23,500.00 in 2013 as a regular no +  MS64 RB.  That coin is an N-4.
