1C 1840 PCGS MS66+ BN NAFTZGER COLLECTION

There are few other Large Cents of ANY date or grade that compare! The ONLY reason why this coin got a +, the collector did not just crack it out and go for the 67 (which we think it is). Regardless, this is one incredible Large Cent.

Absolutely perfect surfaces are satiny and reveal NO spots or flaws. A phenomenal glossy luster beams from both sides. The color is a monster smooth deeper brown. There are some teenie hints of red along the devices. The originality of this GEM is unequaled. Miss Liberty and the details are fully struck and stand out. The eye appeal will make your jaw drop and lock!

This is an N-10. In regular MS66BN the pops are PCGS 6, NGC 5, CAC 2 (this coin was in twice). Of course there are NO coins finer anywhere. It sold in the Naftzger sale for $8,050.00 09/09 Goldberg.

Even if you do not collect Large Cents you should consider this coin. It is a coin the likes you will never see again. Think about this, 170 years old, its perfect, its ORIGINAL, and its copper that won’t turn! We would be proud to place this coin in a GEM Type or Large cent Collection. And yes dreaded “I” people, we would put this coin away!
