25C 1806/5 PCGS MS64 EX GARRETT

We have always loved this coin and rank it a VERY High end GEM. It is such an impressive 210 year old coin! Incredible surfaces are clean and smooth. Even using a strong glass yields no problems. A moderate luster (more typical for the date) show off the totally original deep champagne/pale olive/reddish gold colors that are pretty even all over. We strongly believe the minor weakness on some stars is what keeps this con a from a full MS65 grade. Miss Liberty and other details are sharply struck.  This positively is NOT a dull or drab coin. The eye appeal is wonderful! PCGS 3, NGC 2, CAC 3 (we know this coin is 2X). We last purchased this coin in 06/2014 from the Gardner sale for $55,812.00. The collector who bought it from us actually found a higher grade coin for their Type set! WOW! Prior to Gardner and Newman, you could not find one of these for squat. As each coin disappears in the mysterious deep black hole of collectors you will shortly wake up to see these are extremely rare and you can’t find a single one. We can’t stress enough how much opportunity this particular coins has-especially at the level we have priced it at!
