We are in love with this SUPERB GEM! It looks like it was carved from a block of fresh milk chocolate! This is the sole finest Fancy 5 in the BN color designation (RB and even RD do exist). However this is a stable coin for sure.
Outrageously clean and smooth surfaces survive even the power of a microscope when searching for any imperfections. There are ZERO flecks or specks. A mellow luster can be seen. Both sides are a heart pounding (at least to us) even GEM brown with hints of pale Mint red color. The eye appeal is spectacular to be sure!
PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This coin is fresh to the market and thus we have no pricing information to go on. In MS65, PCGS estimates a 65 BN to be worth $650 (although none have ever sold in auction) and a 66 RB sold for $1,645 in April 2017. If we did not think the price was fair, we would not be offering the coin or would not have even bought it. At 152 years old and to be this pristine and original, we think that creates a ton of value!
On a 1-10 scale, we do rank this coin a full 10 (10 being the best)!
