We love this piece. The quality is all there and then some. Full disclosure: we paid $6,900.00 for it from our 11/2019 sale. Here is the description:
In a word, SPECTACULAR! The surfaces are so pristine, it looks like the coin was struck yesterday! Gorgeous, deep matte finish. Thick frosty luster is accentuated on the obverse with fiery red, while the reverse has been graced with a whisper of violet hues over mint red. Needle sharp motifs. One of the few times all of Lincoln’s beard is fully delineated. FLAWLESS! Just 1,365 pieces were struck.
PCGS 8, NGC 5, CAC 5. Prior to this coin selling, LRCA sold one for $13,512.00 07/2017 and that is it. The PCGS CAC Price Guide is now $10,600.00. We think this one may have slipped through the cracks in the recent sale. Sadly, it happens. We caught the slip and are offering the coin to our customers super reasonable!
