$2.5 1851 PCGS AU55 SS CENTRAL AMERICA

This is a totally different coin from the SS Central America 2014 exploration. It was not on the log, so it belonged to either a crew member or a passenger. Now that IS something different. Save for a bold shiny area around he 7+8:00 stars, this coin is really nice. We’re not sure what the shiny area exactly is. Save for a very old light lines, overall this coin is pretty clean. The conservation of it was not harsh. You can still see lots of original luster. Both sides are a bright gold color. Miss Liberty and the detail are sharply struck and do stand out. The eye appeal is nice! Treasure ship numbers: PCGS 7 with 5 higher (regular PCGS pop: 90). This is a wicked cool little piece from a real treasure ship!
