25C 1918D PCGS MS66FH

$26,500.00

This is an exceptional example of a very difficult date to find in FH GEM. The surfaces are immaculate and have a slightly satiny texture. A booming luster enhances the light to moderate mix of partial and totally original golden brown/pewter/silver toning. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. You won’t question that this coin is really a Full Head. The eye appeal is terrific! PCGS 21, NGC 8, CAC 6. PCGS has graded 4 in MS66+ (only ONE is CAC) and one MS67 (a non cac which sold for $32,900.00 in 2013) Because of the unusually high pops we’re going to guess there is a heck of 66 out there someone wanted in a higher grade. We can assure you, this is date and grade that is seldom seen. the last 18D PCGS MS66FH CAC to sell in auction brought $30,550.00 01/2013 (that should say a lot since it was over 3 years ago). If you are building a really superb set, this coin is a “must have”.
