Any date from the 1880’s in gold is great to own. This coin is especially HIGHEND too!
First thing you notice, the coin is boldly prooflike. There are a few teenie scattered ticks and lines, however nothing is severe or eye catching. A full booming luster also shows off beautiful yellow gold color. There are NO spots or stains. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted and have full strikes. The eye appeal is VERY neat!
Only 4000 were ever minted. PCGS 13, NGC 11, CAC 3. PCGS has graded only 6 coins higher. This is certainly NOT a date you see with any frequency.
