This is the first 1908 GEM MS65 PCGS CAC we have owned since 2016! We either did not like the prices or the coins. This coin is absolutely a pleasing GEM.
Wonderful surfaces are clean overall. The dreaded right reverse just has a small line and no major digs. A moderate luster beams from all over. Both sides are a totally original gold color. There are NO spots or discolorations. All of the details are well struck. There is a small flat patch on top of the Eagles wing from uneven striking. The eye appeal is attractive.
PCGS 573, NGC 360, CAC 123. The last 1908 MS65 to sell in auction was a PCGS NO CAC piece. It brought $3,120.00 04/2019. The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $3,760.00 01/2017. These are not as common as you might think! We priced this piece based upon what we paid. We know this is a good value!
