No question this piece happens to be on the prettiest 1929 $2.5 we have ever seen. It really does have some color!
The surfaces all over are exceedingly clean and satiny smooth. Even the dreaded right reverse is clean. Using a strong glass will not find much at all. The luster is really glowing. Both sides have totally original colors of gold/pale orange gold/light pink gold. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are well struck and are really frosty. This is piece way above average and is NOT what you normally see. The eye appeal is gorgeous!
PCGS 226, NGC 285, CAC 11. The last PCGS MS65 CAC 29 to sell in auction brought $5,040.00 06/2018. Hard to believe its been 2 years since one sold in auction. The current PCGS CAC Value is $4,750.00. Do not let the pops fool you, these are tough coins-especially this nice! This coin has been off the market with a collector for awhile.
