$20 1852 PCGS MS63+ SS CENTRAL AMERICA

$65,000.00

This amazing SUPER CHOICE+ SUPER HIGH END piece was not part of the actual treasure. This coin came from either a passenger or the ships crew. Even if this was not a SS Central America coin, we could not say enough about it. Outstanding surfaces do not all look like they were stuck in the muck under salt water for 155 plus years. The surfaces are seriously clean. Even using a strong glass, the most you can find are a few light scattered lines and ticks. There are no serious marks anywhere. A full booming luster beams intensely from all over. Both sides are a superb even gold color. There are NO spot or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are have delicate frost and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is amazing! This is the ONLY 1852 $20 from the wreck. The PCGS pop for a regular NON CAC MS63 is 10 and only 1 in MS63+. This coin is the ONLY MS63 (CAC does not break out MS63) beaned. The other coin has never been sold via auction. We consider this coin an ultimate treasure piece. When it was offered to us, we knew we had to own it. Its history and story are unlike anything else in numismatic today. Most important, its value is NOT out of whack at all. The last PCGS CAC MS64 to sell in auction brought $82,250.00 08/2012. Today, it probably would be $90-$100,000.00. In 2014, only 3154 were pulled from the ocean (it was the final group). All coins are accounted for today. There will be no surprises. This is the ONLY 1852 from the wreck. And it just happens to rank among the finer ones known!
