So close to MS63 but just no cigar. we had first shot on a major dealers inventory and we snatched this before the crack out boys did. We’re not saying it will ever MS63, but it sure is closer to a MS63 then an MS62!
Crisp and super clean fields are a delight to see. Even when examining the surfaces with a strong glass nothing significant stands out. There are a just a few very tiny widely scattered ticks. A surprisingly strong luster beams from all over. Both sides are a totally original and beautiful of gold/pale orange gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are extremely sharp in strike. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 32, NGC 29, CAC 9. PCGS has graded only 2 coins in MS62+ with just two higher. The last one to sell in auction brought $15,275.00 04/2017. An important note: no MS63’s have been sold since 2007! Great date, great coin, great price. What more do you need on a better $20?
