$20 1872 PCGS MS62

This is a great coin. We do consider it VERY HIGH END. Overall, the surfaces do appear clean. Only with a strong glass can you see some tiny scattered ticks (more so on the left obverse). The reverse is very clean. There is nothing serious. A full light cartwheel type luster beams from all over. Both sides enjoy a totally original shade of deeper yellow gold color. This is NOT a “dirty” coin. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. The eye appeal is pretty. PCGS 10, NGC 12, CAC 6 (CAC has beaned only 1 coins higher). PCGS has graded 3 in MS63 with NONE higher. The difficulty of finding nice examples of this date is extremely tough. In 2017 an example sold for $11,764.00 07/2017.
