Yes, this coin legitimately is close to a full GEM.
Overall, the surfaces are exceedingly clean and smooth. There is a small area on the right obverse that has an ultra light small scuff. There is a good luster that beams from all over. Both sides are totally original with pale greenish gold highlights by the peripheries and deeper orange/pale pinkish gold in the centers. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are very well struck. The eye appeal is wonderful!
PCGS 182, NGC 140, CAC 18. PCGS claims to have graded 33-we totally disagree and feel the number is much last. The last PCGS CAC example sold for $9,600.00 01/2020. An MS65 will set you back at least $25,000.00 if you can find one of the 2 that are possibly beaned. As we all know, the market has gotten MUCH stronger since last year!
