$20 1901 PCGS MS65

What a great example of a not as common GEM $20 Liberty piece. Terrific surfaces are wonderful. You need a strong glass to find the few scattered and very tiny ticks. They do NOT stand out to the naked eye.  A strong luster beams from the thicker satiny surfaces. Both sides are a totally original deeper gold color. There is some faint toning lines-but NO spots or discolorations. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are sharply struck. The eye appeal is great! PCGS 320, NGC 333, CAC 40. These are no where near as common as the 1904 P’s (PCGS pop 5192 in MS65). The last PCGS CAC 1901 to sell in auction brought $4,993.00 01/2014!
