For an 1909-D this coin is quite exceptional. It is also TREMENDOUSLY UNDERValued (in our opinion).
Just a frost break/small scuff from MS65, this coin does have above average clean surfaces overall. The luster is that of a 1928! Both sides are an even slightly deeper gold color. There are NO spot or discolorations anywhere. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and are well struck. The eye appeal is super pleasing!
PCGS 158, NGC 75, CAC 11. PCGS shows 18 graded in MS64+. We think there are dupes in that number. There are NO auction records for any PCGS CAC ever selling. We know we bought his right as CAC has beaned NO MS65’s (but 3 in MS66). An PCGS CAC MS66 would cost at least $75,000.00 if you could even find one!
