$20 1927S PCGS AU58+

We’ve seen MS62’s NOT as nice as this coin! Funny, we are still seeking an MS63-66 PCGS CAC piece-and this is what we found after a 4 year search. 27S is a MUCH tougher date to find NICE then most collectors realize. Only a few very tiny contact ticks are scattered around the obverse.Overall, the surfaces are pretty clean. A really good luster shows off nice and totally original gold colors. There are NO spots or discolorations. To find any wear, you really need a glass. Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck. The eye appeal is excellent! PCGS 23, NGC 23, CAC 1. This is the ONLY PCGS AU58+ graded. The last recorder auction it was was back 11/2012 where the coin sold for $23,500.00. Even an PCGS MS61 has not sold since 2004. If you are trying to build a full Saint set, this coin-(especially w/how stingy CAC is on Saints) can’t be duplicated and should be a “must buy”!
