We’d bet in the pre certification days this coin was called a GEM MS65. Today we grade it a VERY HIGH END MS64.
Exceptional surfaces are super clean and are smooth. Even when using a strong glass you can not find any impairments. There are faint traces of prooflike mirrors. The luster is clearly above average. Both sides are evenly coated by an original mix of olive/gold/pale reddish gold colors. The toning is medium and this is NOT a dull or drab coin. Miss Liberty and the details standout with full strikes and light frost. The eye appeal is pretty!
PCGS 65, NGC 47, CAC 12. The last PCGS CAC pieced to sell in auction brought $2,115.00 01/2019. We know that coin, and can tell you it was nice, but this coin is superior in both cleanliness and this coin has color! Do not let the pops fool you, these are hard to find this nice!
