25C 1796 PCGS AU55

We obtained this coin directly from a collector. It has NOT been in any recent auctions or for sale by any dealer.

One look and no question you can see and feel (yes feel) the originality oozing out of this wonderful piece. The surfaces are have one or two old small old cuts (you need a glass) but overall look very clean. There are light traces of mirrors and luster. A hazy pewter/blue/deep champagne gray covers both sides. This is NOT a cleaned and retoned or dull coin! Miss Liberty and the details are exceptionally struck-and do show some adjustment marks on the reverse. For a coin from 1796, the eye appeal is excellent!

THIS IS HOUSED IN AN OLDER GREEN TAG PCGS HOLDER! PCGS 17, NGC 10. The last one to sell in amajor auction went for $55,775.00 09/07 Superior. Haven’t heard of any auctioned since.
